Rescuedifficult-to-express proteins
Our system can rescue difficult-to-express candidate proteins from having to be discarded, reduce product failure rates and let customers explore back catalogues of interesting enzymes they couldn’t make before.
What We Can Do
Companies currently spend large amounts of resources on researching new industrial enzymes that can replace current manufacturing techniques, many of which are costly both in environmental and economic terms. A major stumbling block in this research is the discovery that a promising enzyme candidate cannot be produced using existing methods, an “almost weekly” occurrence in the industry. By being able to provide an alternative low-temperature production process for the manufacture of these enzymes we ensure not only that the cost of research already sunk into them is not wasted, but that our customers receive an enzyme capable of doing the job it was intended for. We can also manufacture cold-active enzymes that benefit the whole supply chain, from providing enzymes for use in food and drug manufacture to low-temperature enzymes in laundry detergent that allow the end user to reap the benefits of reduced costs for washing clothes.
